- Stop all of your research to find the perfect place for a Fijian vacation and book this gem. All the reviews are accurate. We spent 5 nights here in June 2025 in a beachfront pool bure. It was heavenly and I feel lucky to have even been somewhere so beautiful. The water in the pool was too cool to enjoy but that did not subtract from the beauty of the views or feeling the warmth from the employees. The culture of the people is what makes Tropica so special. The staff is absolutely amazing and make you forget that they are getting paid to help you. They are so kind and genuine and truly care about their guests and the success of Tropica. Stay here. You will not regret it.Crystal Ross6/28/2025Lovely location! The rooms have a fantastic view! In addition to the public pool, our room has a private plunge pool, which was convenient and a nice touch. All rooms have an amazing outdoor shower! Great water pressure with lots of hot water. The beds were very comfortable! The staff was incredible from the first minute to the last. Food was included. It was fantastic, and different every day. This was an experience that we will treasure, and we hope to return soon!Scott Mungo6/27/2025

Scott M6/25/2025We have visited Tropica 8 times over the last 12 years and every time there is thoroughly consistent and pleasurable. Little improvements are always visible. Staff attentiveness and proficiency just keeps getting better. There is a magic about Tropica that always refreshes our souls. The peace, tranquility and overall happiness is a delight. It is easily accessed, comfortable and rebuilds us.1osis26/24/2025We'll be back again We have visited Tropica 8 times over the last 12 years and every time there is thoroughly consistent and pleasurable. Robin D6/23/2025Perfect Couples Getaway We loved this adults only resort due to its friendly staff, smaller size, location and orientation. We stayed in a Beachfront Bure and you are literally 10m from the ocean when it is high tide. Countless hours sitting on the porch swing staring into the ocean or lazing on the sun lounges under the coconut palms reading a book and soaking up the sun.
We spent the mornings snorkelling around the bay and the scenery is amazing, big drop offs right in the bay you can swim out too. Evenings started with Happy Hour looking out over the setting sun across the ocean, always mesmerising, before enjoying dinner and a few more drinks (or Kava!).
As with most holidays you end up eating too much! We were expecting more fresh seafood to be on offer but the meals were fine.
The staff are so friendly and their bubbly nature creates a very fun vibe. They were always willing to help out with any of our needs.
Would definitely recommend and we plan to return again. Vinaka Tropica, we loved our stay!Ben C6/19/2025Two times the charm - Amazing Tropica Second time back to Tropica and had such a great holiday. We love how you can do as little or as much as you want the tranquility of this resort is amazing. Room was private and always clean with our own plunge pool.
I had some dietary requirements and the kitchen staff always went above and beyond it was like being at home with family.
Plenty of visits to the wonderful the spa to experience amazing relaxing massages
We had a chance to speak to the lovely guys running the place and they have a real passion for making Tropica an even better experience we can’t wait to go back again.

Claudia F6/17/2025The perfect anniversary getaway! Tropica Island Resort has to be one of the best places we have ever stayed and the perfect location for us to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary! The staff are amazing and treat you like family! Being a boutique resort means you are not overwhelmed with dozens of other guests, in fact you tend to get to know your fellow guests! Stunning location, incredible food and the best people We will miss this place and the people until we are able to return! Cannot recommend this place highly enough ❤️
Warren L6/06/2025 - My spouse and I had a terrific three night stay. We were welcomed in Fiji style and felt cared for by every single staff member. Our bure was a beach view pool plunge that was spectacular. My critique is that there is no complimentary mosquito repellant given in the bure. When I inquired at the gift shop, I was told I had to buy it there. That's ridiculous. We had tons of mosquitoes at dusk at our bure. It made sunset something I dreaded at my bure, so we went to the restaurant instead because of the fans and moving air. My other disappointment was the lack of readily available fresh drinking water. We were allocated 2 one liter bottles per day and nothing more. That's unacceptable for a resort of this caliber. There could be other ways to provide water like filtered water, reverse osmosis, or simply give us more bottles upon request instead of paying $8 for one liter. We don't drink alcohol or soft drinks so we had to bring our own water to breakfast, lunch and dinner in order to avoid being charged. We ended up boiling our tea kettle water, letting it cool and then pouring it into used water bottles. For a resort of this caliber, that's shameful to have guests do this to avoid paying per bottle. OR, tell us ahead of time and we would have gladly purchased a case of waters at Denaru Port and brought it with us. I would definitely go back to this resort, but this aspect should be seriously considered by staff reading this review.Lisa Caprio5/28/2025Absolutely amazing island paradise where staff are incredible and so lovely ! Second time visited and want to keep coming back . If you go try Vee’s smoothies !cindy gillespie5/25/2025We had such a wonderful stay at Tropica Island Resort! 5 stars doesn’t do it justice. The resort itself is stunning, with an infinity pool, bar, and restaurant perfectly placed to overlook the Pacific Ocean and Fijian sunset, and the rooms are perfect with everything needed for a relaxing time - no tv or phone to distract you but instead an amazing private plunge pool with a super comfortable day bed and an outdoor rain shower from which you could enjoy the sounds of nature during the day and watch the stars come out at night. The adults only nature meant that it always felt incredibly peaceful and secluded and it was such a pleasure to be around the resort areas as it felt like all the guests were also having just as amazing a time as we were. The lack of phones meant that communication was done either in person or by banging a lali, which was a very welcome change to the notification-filled experience of every day life.We booked a rejuvenation package and it was an amazing experience, with excellent massages to help us unwind and a bottle of Moet for dinner one night. As part of the package we had a beach picnic included - it was an incredible highlight, with our own private beach and the ability to snorkel on our own amongst coral and tropical fish, and we were certainly kept full and happy with all the snacks and wine! While we didn’t get a chance to do them this time around, the resort also offers a range of other activities from kayaking to learning how to make traditional kokoda and day trips out to Cloud 9.The food was fantastic and included an excellent variety which also showed off classic Fijian flavours. We’ve never eaten so well! Breakfast included hot options like some to-die-for banana pancakes with fresh tropical fruit, pastries, and a create your own fresh juice station, while the coffees were probably the best we’ve had outside of Australia. Lunch was perfectly suited for lounging by the pool with a cocktail in hand, and the dinners were excellent from start to finish. It felt like there was a lot of pride taken in the quality of the food and drinks on offer, and it seemed like dietary requirements were well looked after too.The Fijian Lovo was a particular highlight and we loved seeing the entertainment and being part of the communal feel as the whole resort came together for dinner. But what made our stay even more special was the friendliness and hospitality of the staff. We were made to feel immediately at home and it always felt like the team were going above and beyond for us. Even though our stay was short, by the time we left it felt like we were leaving behind friends - our only regret was not staying at Tropica longer as we’d spent time in a few places around Fiji beforehand. We hope to be back soon and are already planning to make our stays an annual trip. Vinaka vakalevu to our Tropica family and sota tale! Megan & JoshJoshua Danahay5/24/2025
Peaceful Adults only resort to relax and unwind Our stay at adults only Tropica Island Resort was fantastic. Boutique resort, friendly staff, amazing cocktails especially from Moses in the beachfront bar. Sanctuary pool suite with plunge pool was divine, well maintained beautiful gardens, great choice for a relaxing holiday. The seafood dining experience on the pier was exquisite, the ambiance they created with the sheer curtains, lighting and music was perfect. Lobster and seafood cooked to perfection.
Chez Parker5/24/2025Lovely Relaxing Resort Bula Vinaka - My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights in May for our first stop in Fiji. The resort was small and intimate as expected but very well laid out and beautiful. We had a beachfront pool bure and we loved it. It had a true view of the beach and we enjoyed sitting on the swing to watch sunrise/sunset or cooling off in the plunge pool. The room was also very well laid out with plenty of bathroom counter space, tables, closet storage space, mini fridge, hot water kettle to make coffee/tea. The ac also worked very well in keeping the room cool which I appreciated after staying at our next hotel after. The hotel is in a small bay with calm waters so perfect for kayaking or SUP. The food had a good variety of options and always very tasty. We did the private sunset dinner on the lawn and it was wonderful except warning it is a lot of food haha. Also the poolside bartender makes excellent fresh cocktails. There are a variety of activities to choose from but we did the snorkeling and got massages, both of which were enjoyable. I wanted to end with that the staff were so warm and friendly and always very attentive. They are so kind and hard working. Even though we were only there for a short stay I was so touched by their warmth that when they sang the farewell song for our departure it brought a tear to my eye. I highly recommend Tropica for a relaxing stay where you will get 5 star service.
Ivorn D5/21/2025Tropica was exactly what we needed... it was so personalised and welcoming from the day we arrived to the day we leftI highly recommend Tropica Island ResortTania Greening5/21/2025A very relaxing holiday in paradise One of the most relaxing, enjoyable stays. The beautiful Fijian people here at the resort are the main reason why. The friendliest, always with a big smile and a ‘Bula’, and kindest, always available and wanting to help. The food was great, from pool side lunch to family style BBQ dinner to our private pier dinner. Just enough activities to give us a little something to do each day. We look forward to coming back next year!
ShillelaghShooter5/17/2025Slice of paradise! Had an absolutely fabulous week here! The entire resort team were warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. We had a massage every day and the massage team were excellent. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the specialty dinners they had throughout our stay. Our poolside bure was clean and comfortable. This place is a slice of paradise and a great place to check out and unwind. We are already planning our next trip back!
Kathryn O5/17/2025Can’t recommend this place enough. I’ve never stayed anywhere in all my years of traveling with such amazing staff. They were all so friendly, kind, enthusiastic, and accommodating. They all remembered our names and greeted us every day. We really enjoyed the food too! I think you just have to remember if you’re on an island, the seafood is going to be the way to go! The adults only aspect of the resort was so great too. It was always so quiet and peaceful and all of the other guests were great too—the place doesn’t attract rowdy party people, so all of the other guests were just really friendly and chill. We will certainly be back and I recommend anyone reading this to go enjoy this awesome place! Vinaka!Walden Hudson5/17/2025
