Comfort in nature I was looking for a second resort for our second week in Fiji. I wanted something on the west side of Viti Levu, not too far from Nadi. Because we were visiting at the tail end of raining season (March) I also wanted something on the driest part of Fiji. The Tropica in the Mamanucas was perfect! The location was so beautiful and peaceful. My wife and I had a Bure off the water, but it was still lovely. The plunge pool was wonderful and the outdoor shower was lovely. We were so part of nature, but also so comfortable. The air conditioner kept us nice and cool during the hot days. The in room coffee and tea was nice. My morning routine was to read and sip my coffee next to the plunge pool. My wife was a big fan of the massages. The larger facility was also great: the pool, the restaurant, the beach activities center and the dock. I took out a SUP one morning to explore the bay. I saw turtles, baby black tipped sharks and a ray. Back on land, the food was quite tasty and varied. I miss my Fiji Bitter by the pool! The best part of Tropica was the staff: everyone- I mean everyone- was super friendly and helpful. The front desk helped me arrange for some scuba diving with a local dive operator, who picked me up right at the dock. And when I needed to change our departure time slightly to catch the ferry back to Port Denaru, the staff easily accomplished this for me. Tropica was a great place for luxurious comfort in the Mamanucas.
Greyfeathers594/19/2025Amazing location if you're looking for somewhere relaxing and beautiful. The staff are beyond friendly and welcoming, the resort is well setup with secluded rooms and nice common areas.Daily changing activities keep things fresh and fun, and many are complimentary learning about the islands and Fiji culture. In particular Sonny, Tito, Isoa, Ziggy, Nia, Grace, Mark, the bar staff, and the front desk staff were spectacular at ensuring all our needs were met.Gavin Meredith4/16/2025Paradise on earth This was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay for a honeymoon. We had a private pool and a bure looking out to the sea. Staff were so friendly and food was fabulous.
Highly recommend for a relaxing holiday. Tropica Island Resort is paradise perfected.Wendy Campbell4/03/2025We have just spent a wonderful 7 nights at Tropica Island Resort. The staff were truly exceptional and went out of their way to make us feel special and relaxed. Sincere thanks to the amazing Viri, who was always there, and made our stay fabulous, smiling Tina, who made every meal wonderful, and the super Ziggy, who made every activity fun. A big thank you to Amelia, Ledua, Grace, Dan and to all the staff who were just so kind and accommodating, even the GM, Leigh, who went out of his way to make our stay exceptional! We stayed in a Beach Front Pool Bure, with spectacular views, surrounded by lush greenery, and enjoyed many hours in our pool watching the sun go down. We loved all the activities offered, the relaxed pace of the resort and the great mix of guests. Our highlights were the private seafood dinner we had on the pier, the local performances by staff, so wonderful, the snorkeling and and overall ambience. We were so sad to leave this island paradise and we will definitely return. BULA VINAKA and hugs to all the gorgeous staff. Sharon & Jim, Melbourne March 2025Sharon Arnott4/02/2025We enjoyed an incredible 5 night stay at Tropica and loved every minute of it. It’s the perfect location to relax and unwind. For our anniversary we had the private pier dinner where staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful evening. The menu changes every night so there is plenty of variety. The buffet breakfast has a good range of options too including a made to order menu. Overall the food was excellent but on the pricier side. The service is exceptional making the whole experience a 10/10. Staff are always smiling, warm, friendly and only too happy to help. By the end of our stay we felt like part of the family.Whether you want to sip cocktails by the pool or go kayaking, snorkelling or exploring near by islands, there is a variety of options of free and paid activities to suit your needs. We loved the massages at the top of the hill with a stunning view of the resort and out across the ocean. We stayed in a beach front pool Bure and highly recommend it. The beach was just steps away and you can cool off in your own private plunge pool with a stunning postcard view of palm trees, hibiscus and the ocean. This was a memorable trip and we look forward to going again in the futureTamara3/28/2025- This place is absolutely amazing! All of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Relax & recharge My husband & I stay for 4 amazing peaceful nights. The staff are so happy & helpful. Had a wonderful massage, swam with the little fish did yoga every morning. The food was yummy too. Our room was very comfortable.Adult only was so fabulous ❤️❤️
J Vipond3/19/2025Adults only resort to unplug from the world. We spent 4 nights at the Tropica Resort in Fiji. It was wonderful. The staff are fantastic, the bungalows (bure) are all you could need on a tropical island and the food was delicious.
Our bure had an outdoor swing chair, lounges, a plunge pool and an outdoor shower. We really enjoyed these to cool off and relax, while enjoying the water views. There is also a larger main pool near the restaurant and bar.
They have free snorkelling equipment, paddle boards and kayaks so you can explore the area and check out the underwater life.
We felt the 4 days were enough unless you wanted to take their daily trips to some other place or adventure around the islands of Fiji.
There is limited phone coverage and wi-fi is only at the restaurant and bar area. So don't plan to spend your time on your devices! Turn off and enjoy your surrounds in the moment, as the scenery is surreal and the hospitality unforgettable.
Highly Recommendedwayneandbethannes3/13/2025The team have done a great job with their recent upgrades. The staff have an amazing energy and are so genuinely focussed on staff that our group felt it immediately. Amazing food and overall highly recommended. Great job guys.Robert Thompson3/09/2025minimal snorkeling opportunies and those are good because of the poor reef conditions. Excellant and helpful staff. Our non-Bure room was excellant with best A/c in Fiji. The Bures - barely satisfactory. Food is wonderful as is the service. Be advised that showers in the room are salt water, but they provide enough fresh bottled water to rinse down afterwardsJerry Brown1/23/2025Topica showcases the best of Fiji island resort holiday Our family of six just spent a blissful week at Tropica Island Resort. The crystal clear water, the view across the water from the restaurant, the friendly laughing staff, our accomodation all were fantastic. We stayed in three, two person huts. One was waterfront, the other two no view of the water but had private plunge pools. All no more than two minutes to the beach. The food was the best I have had in Fiji with a six night rotating menu. We went on the snorkel safari to Reef Garden and the Sandbar. Scuba dived with Subsurface. Had massages. Jumped off the jetty. Learned to make Kokoda (fish in coconut cream and lime). We had some heavy rain at night but more sunny days than rainy, it would often blow through. This time of year weather is a risk but we came back tanned and relaxed. We all highly recommend it.
Caitlin W1/10/2025A wonderful time over the festive season despite the wind & rain We had a wonderful stay at Tropica it’s such a beautiful place to be. The weather wasn’t kind to us during that time but the terrific staff there ensured we still had the most amazing time over the festive season with brilliant food & entertainment so thank you.
Jeanette A1/04/2025My partner and I stayed for 5 nights during the off-peak season (December) using a package from MyFiji Holidays. The staff were so welcoming and accommodating, which made the stay even better. Staff went above their standard duties, making us special cocktails off the menu and even a hand woven coconut leaf hat after we attended a Fijian weaving experience. ||The amenities are all you could need for a mix of relaxation and adventure. The snorkel gear and kayak were available as we needed. There was a coral reef right in front of the resort beach and a small rock island only a 10min kayak from the resort with abundant wildlife - reef fish, reef shark, stingrays, turtles and starfish! The water was walk-in temperature. There wasn’t really any need to leave the resort as there were so many activities to do there. || The massage hut was perched on a point overlooking the water - no need for music with the natural ambiance. The staff were so lovely and happy to chat. They had a guest pool with bar service in the pool, overlooking the beach. We also had a private plunge pool and an outdoor shower at the room, which were lovely to use in privacy. The rooms were spacious and clean with aircon and huge a bed. ||There was a daily schedule filled with included activities (ceviche demo, coconut tree use, basket weaving, sports) and additional cost activities (island picnics, snorkel trips, visit to a floating restaurant).
